The Gaylord Police Department has a Safe Medication Disposal drop-off box located inside the Police Department’s lobby. The box is intended for prescription medication; however no liquids or syringes are allowed.

The Gaylord Police Department participates in Hope Not Handcuffs, a program that coordinates treatment services for dependent individuals in a supportive and compassionate manner. Social District

The Social District, or “Stadtplatz” is in effect beginning May 1, and runs until November 1 and operates between the hours of 12pm-10pm 7 days a week.

Stadtplatz Guidelines Include:

-Alcoholic beverages must be in one-time-use, properly labeled cups available at participating bars and restaurants.

-You may only possess the beverages inside the Stadtplatz.

-Beverages may not be consumed in the streets of the Stadtplatz.

-Beverages purchased from one establishment may not be brought into a different establishment.

-Beverages must remain in Stadtplatz boundaries.

-Do not bring beverages into retailers who do not allow food or beverages.

-Please dispose of all litter in a trash receptacle.
